Tom O'Dornin was born in Eire, but now lives in England with his wife and son.

Following university he worked in a variety of roles for a few years, but then went travelling, taking a keen interest in the history and myths associated with the places he visited, especially Greece, Turkey and Tibet.

Since returning from his travels he has been focusing on a writing career.

'Empire of the Moon' is his first novel.
